John Cooper Paving & Sealing installed a brand new driveway at my house on September 5th and I am very pleased with the crews work product and the smooth freshly paved appearance of my new driveway. I am a civil engineer and I design parking lots and access driveways for large commercial and residential site developments construction projects, so naturally I wanted to be home to witness the work sequence and make sure the quality of the install was acceptable to my standards. I had a couple questions and concerns about the sub-base grading and compaction process and the guys in the crew were polite and receptive to addressing those concerns and making it right. I also had a question about their method of creating a narrow and shallow perimeter trench at the driveway edges which Denise Cooper, the owner, promptly returned my phone call and explained the purpose to provide an aesthetic finished straight paved look to the edge. This method works great, particularly in any locations where the driveway edge is a few inches higher than the abutting lawn or mulch bed. The crew did a great job in paving a perfectly smooth transition right up to the garage concrete floor grade and the also to the front walkway. All in all, I was very appreciative of Denises efforts to get in touch with me, the crews careful attention to details and the beautiful finished look of my new paved driveway. We received quite estimates from three companies and the John Cooper price was less than the others and provided a thicker bituminous binder and wearing course layers than the others. Combine that with their high quality workmanship and I absolutely would recommend John Cooper Paving to any homeowner looking to replace an old-looking and worn out driveway.
